Overview

The Chellgren Pathways to Entrepreneurship Speaker Series is designed to bring excellence in entrepreneurship education to the region. This series of speaking events provides students from NKU, faculty and the regional business community with an opportunity to interact with and learn from nationally-recognized entrepreneurial leaders.

Each event features a speaker from the regional, national, or international business community and includes two programs: a

Paul Chellgren speaking 
luncheon presentation on entrepreneurship and a networking session. The luncheon presentation features speakers who can share their diverse pathway to and observations on entrepreneurship. The networking session enables the speaker to interact with leaders from the business community. The luncheon is attended by more than 200 students and business community leaders.

Our previous speakers have included Dr. Stephen Spinelli, Jr., Co-Founder of Jiffy Lube, International and Director of the Arthur M Blank Entrepreneurship; Mr. Paul Chellgren, former Chairman & CEO of Ashland, Inc.; Dr. Ray Smilor, President of the Foundation for Enterprise Development; Dr. Jeffry Timmons, Franklin W. Olin Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship and Director, Price-Babson College Fellows Program at Babson College; Mr. Bill Samuels, Jr., the CEO of Makers Mark Distillery; Mr. Robert Clay, Founder/Owner of Three Chimneys Horse Farm, Mr. Tom Burkardt, CEO, President & Chairman of the Board, BlueNote Networks; and Ms. Cordia Harrington, CEO and President of The Bun Company and one of the Top 25 Women Business Builder.
